Vision

Wawa Elementary School as an institution committed to produce a responsible citizens equipped with basic literacy skills and is proud to be a Filipino.

Mission

To provide every Filipino learner an effective and comprehensive curriculum that is accessible to all that will make pupil achieve his fullest wholesome personality and lay the foundation for life long learning.



School History

              Wawa is one of the sitios of San Rafael, Rodriguez, Rizal wherein the Rodriguez is the northernmost town of Rizal at the periphery of Metro Manila and this is also a dead end town.

              Sitio Wawa is located at the foot of the mountain where the famous legendary myth Bernardo Carpio can be seen. Another historical place in this sitio is te Pamitinan Cave where the Katipuneros during the Spanish regime met to make plans and held their meetings against the Spaniards.

              Sitio Wawa is 6 kilometers away from the town proper.


School Profile

              Wawa Elementary School is headed by an Elementary School Principal I. there are eighteen (18) regular teachers assisting the school principal in planning and implementing reforms, programs and projects of the school. Teachers are assigned to different special assignments like in the guidance, library as their ancillary service for the good of the system and children. There are two (2) utility workers and one (1) clerk whose monthly salary is taken care of by the local school board fund.

              Wawa Elementary School was formerly one of the satellite schools of San Rafael Elementary school with only two (2) rooms’ buildings and was built in the year 1991, donated by the Philippines Chamber of Commerce under the administration of President Corazon C. Aquino. Classes of Grades I and II were house in this building.

              The school has acquired lot through the kindness and generosity of the donor, Mr. Francisco Torres, a resident of this place. It has a land area of 3,830 square meters.

              Several years later, the enrollment increased so the school needs additional building. The local Parents Teacher Association (PTA) in the coordination with local government put up another one room building.

              As the years passed by, the pressure of the increasing population continuously rise until Grades III, IV, V, and VI were opened, and in the year 1998 BOD type buildings was constructed by the local government which accommodated the Grades IV, V, and VI classes in this year Wawa Elementary School became an independent and complete elementary school. It begun its institutional service with six (6) regular teachers and as the population increased, volunteer teachers were utilized to meet the increasing number of classes. The school was then headed by a Teacher-In-Charge in the name of Mrs. Cecilia F. Doloricon, who is now the School Principal.

              At the present, the school has 18 regular teachers administered by the principal, non-teaching personnel includes on school clerk, one school janitor and a school guard who were locally funded by the municipal fund.

              Wawa Elementary School is envisioned and committed to serve the best public service and to produce individuals imbued with confidence and courage and provide them basic literacy skills and foundation of knowledge needed to develop their full potentials and to meet the challenges and aspirations of higher learning.

              Its mission is to provide every Filipino Learner Quality Education, effective and comprehensive curriculum that will make pupils to his fullest wholesome personality, God-loving, morally and socially upright, scientifically and technology oriented, numerically literate, physical fit, proficient in all phases of communication and works for the common good of all mankind and his country.
