The Victory beyond Tagumpay

This school was established on June 30, 2003 with its seven pioneer teachers who started as volunteer teachers, namely: Armi Cruz, Gina Manigo, Gerico Sabado, Celedonio Borricano Jr., Lucila Algoso, Laila Del Rosario and Roel Deang and with its officer-in-charge, Leoncio Gervacio. This school on that date was still the former General Licerio Geronimo Memorial National High School-Tagumpay Annex.

The first two months was very difficult for everyone especially on the part of these teachers. They started with nothing. They had no books, no tables, no canteen funds, and no chairs. The enrollment reached at more than 600. Wonder how it survived with no facilities yet and there were only seven available teachers?

After a month, the supervision was turned over to Mrs. Ma. Cristina C. Camarse also the principal of Montalban Heights National High School. With her effort, the school was able to owe additional teachers and many of its facilities. Here are the donations requested by Mrs. Cristina with their donors.

              1. Teachers’ tables – Iglesia Ni Cristo Central Office (also the donor of the School’s slot)

              2. Volunteer teachers and other financial assistance – Municipal of Rodriguez

              3. Students chairs and provincial items for teachers – The Provincial Capitol (also the provider of school Building and the covered court as well)

For instructional materials like books, Ma’am Camarse lent her books form Montalban Heights National High School. In addition, she also lent some of her teachers from the same school to solve the school’s problem on lack of teachers.

Trough fund-raising, more equipment were purchased or the same school year like Karaoke, DVD player, kitchen wares, sala and dining set, a set of computer, sewing machine and other school facilities.

Everything was almost complete at the end of the school year, so Ma’am Camarse requested for the approval of making this school as a national school and it was also given on the same year. Tagumpay National became an independent school from the former Annex of Licerio NHS.

The next principals, Dr. Ma. Cristina S. Marasigan and Mrs. Clarita C. Nocon with their dynamic supervision and leadership, the school has continued to grow.

At present, with the leadership of Mr. Remegio B. Olesco, the school has increased its enrolment and also received several awards. Our ranking in the achievement test remains one of the stop achievers. We are also lucky to be the first in Rodriguez to be the recipient of 21 sets of computers, HP C5280 Printer-Scanner-Copier, and LCD projector given by the Office of the President through the courtesy of Commission on Information and Communication Technology. In addition, it also received another 15 sets of computer from the Department of Trade and Industry.

A shop room was also given by the DepEd Office as an award for the school for winning first runner up in the Food Sustainable Production.
